Hello everybody!

My name is Aracelis Gil and I am originally from Venezuela. I have been living in the USA since 1996. I have a daughter named Gabriella and a son named Elías. I used to work with deaf and blind children at a former school located in Raleigh, NC, USA. In the summer of 2018, I decided to visit Israel and make a difference in other people’s lives and mine. I volunteered at ADI in Jerusalem and I had one of the best and unforgettable experience working and helping children and adults that are not able to help themselves. This amazing experience gave me the satisfaction of playing a role in someone’s else life. My volunteering work was a way of giving back to the Israeli community while I gained valuable work experience all at the same time. I made very special friends with ADI’s staff and we are still keeping communication through WhatsApp!!!…I met wonderful people in Israel, I learned about another culture, a little bit of Hebrew, I had a lot of fun, I visited different parts of the country and the most important part was knowing that I made a positive impact in someone’s life was an emotionally uplifting experience that can never ever be matched by money or fame…

I have a personal philosophy:

“Life is very short…Why not spend a little time helping others, because at the end of the path…what goes around comes around!!!”

This experience is still PRICELESS…
