Although ADI’s children face challenges most children don’t, in every other way they are the same as every other child. They need attention, friendship, laughter, and love. They need to know someone cares about them and is there for them. Especially on the day that they reach the milestone of becoming Bar or Bat Mitzvah.

Each year, ADI hold special celebrations for children who otherwise would not have a Bar or Bat Mitzvah. This takes a huge amount of effort, financial resources, and careful planning. With your help, we can make their Bar and Bat Mitzvah a day they will remember forever.

How?

Through ADI’S Twinning program. The ‘Twinning’ program pairs up an ADI child with another Jewish child who is also becoming Bar or Bat Mitzvah.

The way each child celebrates the day with their ADI twin is up to them. Some children come to Israel to celebrate together, some sponsor their celebration from overseas. Some kids celebrate with their ADI ‘twins’ at the Kotel on the day of their Bar/Bat Mitzvah. Others ask family and friends to donate to their ‘twin’ in lieu of a regular Bar/Bat Mitzvah gift. And some even create fundraising campaigns to benefit their “twin.” Whatever you choose, this act will have a real and lasting impact on you and your ADI “twin” and give him or her memories that will last forever.

The Twinning program gives children the opportunity to celebrate this milestone in a real meaningful way.
