Corona has forced us all – residents, caregivers and staff – into a new existence, demanding that we accommodate our everlasting core values to the unfamiliar constraints of a novel reality. Our principles remain the same, based on a constant examination of the ways in which we can help the other, the most fragile members of our society, and our true concern for their wellbeing, health and quality of life.
We have experienced a most challenging time and would never have been able to come out on top without the involvement and help of our National Service volunteers, girls whose very essence rADIates an unlimited willingness to help, to embrace, to laugh and sing and shower love on others, at all times of the day and night.
Our trADItional going-away party – a huge gathering at the village amphitheater for the entire village population – gave way this year to the rules of social distancing and government induced restraints on public gatherings. The revised program took the form of a remote good-bye, as our National Service coordinator Li-noy organized a moving agenda in keeping with the capsule system and divided according to the categories of work that had defined each girls’ main job within the village.
We say goodbye to our National Service volunteers as they embark on new life stages, yet we do not feel that they are really taking leave of us, as we are certain that the experiences of the past year will remain with them for the rest of their lives.
Thank you, dear volunteers, for just being yourselves and for your incredibly inspiring willingness to give. Your pure love and reADIness to bestow of yourselves for the benefit of society sets an example to be followed by others.
To those girls who chose to stay at ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran for a second year, we are grateful and bless you for your decision.
ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran will always be open to each and every one of you. The village is your home, and we await your visits with open arms.
