On Sunday evening, July 1, the newly-formed Young Leadership Committee of the British Friends of ADI hosted its first-ever event to benefit the children of ADI: a quiz night at the Adam & Eve Pub in London. The incredibly successful fundraiser was oversubscribed, with 80 young professionals in attendance to participate in the fun and creative team trivia competition and learn about ADI’s expansive network of residential and rehabilitative care facilities for children with severe complex disabilities across Israel. The atmosphere was light and relaxed, and many participants commented that the evening was the most enjoyable charity event they had ever attended.
In the end, thanks to the enthusiasm, dedication and vision of ADI’s brilliant Young Leadership Committee, the event raised £1,900 to provide medical equipment for the ADI residents, a persistent urgent need. We are so grateful to these young leadership superstars for developing and hosting such a meaningful event, introducing new audiences to the ADI mission, and helping us promote disability inclusion and further enhance the care of our ADI residents. We can’t wait to see what they think of next!
